Revisiting classic and not-so-classic albums

Listen to Riley ramble on about things he has no authority to talk about. There will be guests.

Episode 113

Another epic episode. Way, way too much music: An overrated punk album, an early NWOBHM album, a generic Billy Joel record. Plus, Neil Young returns to his folk roots, Rush is too political, and Captain Beefheart re-records an album and arrives at something almost danceable. Also: punk with horns, Genesis doesn't quite sell out, Lionel Richie continues to ruin R&B, Cyndi Lauper is indeed unusual, and Riley discovers the The and wonders where they've been all his life. And, John Mellencamp can write songs, Bob Dylan does reggae, Nick Hayward makes actually sophisticated sophistipop, a metal band releases and album called Melissa, the Cocteau Twins maybe invent dream pop and Culture Club sucks.
